Providers can choose from three levels of integration.
Levels I and II make use of our EMR-Lite product. It is for practices without EMRs, or practices that use an EMR system that does
not have an interface to accept or receive data.
Level I: EMR-Lite
Hosted Server: Ideal for Small Practices
For this level, all you need is a computer with Internet access to receive the benefits of the network.
You will be able to access patient health information from other data providers in the network who treat your patients. In addition, if you do not have an EMR, you can use the system to electronically store information regarding your patients if you wish, making you a data contributor in the network. This can be a stepping stone to transitioning to an EMR in the future.
Whether or not you contribute data, you can utilize the clinical workflow capabilities of the network. Click here to see the clinical workflows. If you already have an EMR, you can continue to use it.
You can do all this without installing a server on your premises.
Level II: EMR-Lite
Local Server: Ideal if You Have IT Staff Resources
This is exactly the same as Level I, except that you would maintain your own server on your premises. The advantage is that if you use an EMR in the future that has the ability to import and export data, you can transition directly to Level III integration.
Level III: Complete Integration
Level III allows for full bi-directional integration of network data and your EMR. This means that every time you make updates to your patient records, information exchangeable in the network is automatically available to authorized physicians who query. In addition, certain network data from other providers can be uploaded to your EMR.
HealthUnity® adapters are available for: GE Centricity, Cerner Powerchart, Allscripts, McKesson Practice
Partner, Meditech, and NextGen. If you are using other vendors, adapters may be available now or in the future, enabling you to connect at Level
III. If an adapter is not available now, you can still use our EMR-Lite product (Level I or II.)
Regardless of the size of your practice, your budget, and the level of your existing electronics, you can easily
receive the many benefits of using a regional approach to data sharing by using our EMR-Lite product. There are virtually no barriers to your
accessing the benefits of the network.
